How often should your office be cleaned? Don't count desks. Count three rooms.
One: the restroom. Most of your visitors use it, and almost nobody mentions it when it's bad. They just remember.
Two: the kitchen. A sink, a coffee maker, a trash can with yesterday's lunch in it.
Three: the front door. In a Massachusetts winter, salt and slush come in on everyone's shoes.
In most offices, desks can go a day or two. Those three rooms are usually what sets the schedule.
