Is weekly or every-other-week cleaning enough for a small office?
For a small, quiet office, weekly cleaning is often enough, and every other week only works if your own team handles trash, kitchens and restrooms in between. The deciding questions are how many people use the space and how fast the restrooms and kitchen get dirty. You can change the frequency later; office cleaning with us is month to month, with 30 days' written notice.
Start with the rooms that get dirty fastest
Frequency is set by the busiest room, not the average one. Open desks and private offices can go a week without much change. Restrooms, the kitchen and the trash cannot. If those three rooms look bad two days after a visit, a lower frequency will not save money: your staff will spend their own time covering the gap, or visitors will notice.
When weekly cleaning works
- A handful of people, or a team that is often out of the office.
- One restroom and a small kitchen that staff keep tidy during the week.
- Few visitors, or visitors only by appointment.
- Trash that doesn't overflow in a week, especially food waste.
In that office, one visit a week can cover the full checklist: restrooms sanitized, kitchen reset, trash and recycling out, desks and floors done, glass and touch points wiped.
When every other week is too thin
Every two weeks means the restroom and kitchen go up to 13 days between professional cleanings. That only works when someone on your team empties the trash, wipes the kitchen and checks the restroom in between. If nobody owns that job, the second week usually shows.
An every-other-week schedule fits best in very small or lightly used spaces: a two-person office, a satellite office used a few days a month, a professional suite where clients rarely come in.
When you need more than weekly
Several nights a week becomes the norm once you have a steady flow of clients through reception, a busy kitchen, more than one restroom in daily use, or a team that eats at their desks. Medical and dental waiting rooms and law firm reception areas often fall in this group because of how many outside visitors they see.
How frequency changes the price
Price follows visits. Our monthly price is the work one visit takes, from the square footage we measure, multiplied by the visits in the month, with a minimum per visit. Fewer visits lower the monthly total, but each visit has to cover more build-up, and the minimum per visit means very small spaces do not get proportionally cheaper. The full formula is on our pricing page.
A quick way to compare: weekly is roughly four or five visits a month; every other week is two or three. Ask any company to show the price per visit and the visits per month, not only the monthly total.
Same checklist, different rhythm
A lower frequency should not mean a vaguer scope. Whatever the schedule, the written checklist says what each visit covers. With fewer visits, tasks that would be weekly in a busy office (glass, desk detailing) become part of every visit instead.
You get the scope in writing before any work starts, and nothing is added or changed without your written approval.
All visits happen after hours, in our 10pm–2am overnight window, whatever night of the week you choose.
Offices are cleaned after hours, in our overnight window, so your team never works around us.
You can change it later
The frequency is not a permanent decision. Many offices start at one level and adjust after a month or two, once they see how the restrooms and kitchen hold up. A change of frequency is a change of scope: it is written down and approved before the price changes.
Office cleaning is month to month. Cancel with 30 days' written notice.
Each month is invoiced on the 1st and due in 15 days. Pay by ACH or card through the invoice link, or by check. Cash is not accepted.
A one-week test
If you are unsure, try this before you choose: for one week, note each day how the restroom, the kitchen and the trash look at 5 p.m. If they are still acceptable on day seven, weekly will work. If they are not acceptable by day three, you need more than one visit a week, and every other week is out of the question.
FAQ
Do you offer every-other-week office cleaning?
We set the number of visits with you at the walkthrough. For most offices we recommend at least weekly, because restrooms and kitchens rarely hold up for two weeks.
Is biweekly cleaning half the price of weekly?
Usually not exactly. Each visit covers more build-up, and every visit has a minimum, so the monthly total drops by less than half.
Can we switch from weekly to more nights later?
Yes. The frequency is part of the written scope, and changing it is a scope change you approve before the price changes.
