Before anyone gets your office keys, ask three questions.
One: has every person who'll be inside passed a background check?
Two: are you insured, and can I see the certificate?
Three: will I see what is covered, written down, before you start?
Here's how I answer at JCIL. Everyone who works in your office has passed a background check before working on a JCIL site. JCIL is insured. A certificate of insurance is available on request. You get the scope in writing before any work starts, and nothing is added or changed without your written approval.
