Local rules
Trash rules change town by town
Trash & recycling emptied is part of every visit. Where it goes depends on local rules:
- Salem: commercial units on city curbside pay a monthly per-unit trash fee (current rate set July 1, 2025). A property that uses a private hauler is exempt. Trash goes out by 7 AM on pickup day and not before 6 PM the night before, in city carts or orange bags only.

- Beverly: the city cart program (65-gallon trash, 95-gallon recycling) covers qualifying businesses. Businesses can opt out for at least a year.

- Everywhere in Massachusetts: cardboard, paper and containers stay out of the trash.
If your Salem office is on city pickup, we agree at the walkthrough who puts the carts out, so it happens inside the city's set-out window.

Offices are cleaned after hours, in our overnight window, so your team never works around us. Our overnight shift runs 10pm–2am.
The Checklist Promise. Tell us within 24 hours and our team returns to re-clean it at no charge. If that is not possible, or the same issue comes back, you get a credit. This is a re-clean, not a cash refund.
JCIL is insured. A certificate of insurance is available on request.
Office cleaning is month to month. Cancel with 30 days' written notice.
Founding clients: our first 10 commercial clients get the initial deep clean included. The benefit never depends on a review.
